Atos Origin Saves £58,000 in Postage
Ilminster, UK -
01 March 2006 - Integrated Document Solutions (IDS), a leading UK supplier of document production, print room and IT solutions, announced the successful integration of a Royal Mail bulk mail discount system for ATOS Origin in Scotland.
Atos Origin, who offer outsourcing services to organisations
throughout the world, used the IDS MailSort On Demand
software, to save a staggering £58,000 in postage
costs for their very first mailing - an immediate ROI!
After successfully integrating MailSort On Demand
within a number of financial institutions, IDS were
keen to prove the software’s worth in the outsourcing
sector. “We knew MailSort On Demand would have
no problem handling the large quantity of mail that
Atos needed to distribute because it already processes
50,000 letters a day for London Scottish Bank”,
states Rob Webb, Senior Consultant for IDS.
MailSort On Demand enables organisations that post over 1,000 items of UK mail in a single run to take advantage of the considerable bulk mail discounts provided by the Royal Mail’s MailSort 120, 700, 1400, WalkSort, CleanMail and CleanMail Plus services. “As long as you are sending more than the minimum quantity of mail, you can save money by using our MailSort On Demand product,” comments Rob.
The software was seamlessly integrated within the Atos environment without any changes being made to their data, hardware, third-party software or mailroom procedures. “That’s the beauty of MailSort On Demand,” comments Rob. “Unlike most other mail discount solutions, only one database of addresses is required, almost any form of data from almost any host can be processed and selection of the best discount service is completely automatic!”
